Artist

To me, art is a tool for processing my thoughts, community building, and healing. Read below to learn about the ways I have leaned into my creative skills and passion for arts education.

Learning with Art

During my teaching residency at IslandWood, I invited students to engage with art making as part of the day's lesson. Their artwork also served as assessments of how they know what they know and what they are learning. Example art lesson: Draw a Scientist

Art Exhibitions

After graduating with a BA in Visual Art, I am constantly seeking spaces that inspire me to continue creating. I am honored to have my work displayed through initiatives that showcase artists of color and diasporic artists.

Arts Communication

Wherever I go, I find belonging within art dialogue spaces and artist networks. This comes from my experience in working in communications roles within arts nonprofits, galleries, and museums.
